The most expensive handbag is the platinum purse by Japanese jewelry house Ginza Tanaka. It is made of platinum and 2,182 diamonds totaling 208 carats. The strap can be worn as necklace or bracelet when taken off and an 8 carat pear shaped diamond on it can be worn separately as a brooch.

Second on the list is a version of the classic Chanel shoulder bag made of white alligator skin farmed and treated with a matte finish and 334 diamonds for a total of 3.56 carats set in 18-carat white gold forming the iconic Chanel “Cs”. The shoulder straps are also made of white gold. A limited edition with only 13 available worldwide.

It is made of matte crocodile leather and 10 carats of white diamonds set in white gold and placed on its clasp, 4 silver feet on the bottom, lock, keys and couchette. Fourth on this list is the Cleopatra Clutch designed by Lana Marks. It is made of metallic silver alligator skin, 1500 fully cut and faceted black and white diamonds set in an 18 carat white gold frame, signed and numbered. Only five of them are made each year.

A handmade evening purse designed in the shape of a rose by Judith Leiber is fifth on the list. It is made of metallic kidskin with 1,016 diamonds totaling 42,556 carats, 1,169 pink sapphires and 800 tourmaline’s. Only one of this hand-crafted most exquisite bag is available.

Stacia Fall 2010 Preview

Stacia's Fall 2010 collection is ready for showtime. Come visit us at booth #8527 in the Javits Center at Fashion Coterie this week. My team at ESP Showroom will be there selling my wares for me and getting buyers amped for the new Fall collection. Lots of yummy bamboo sweaters, slimming dresses, and sexy tops in Stacia's signature vibrant palette of space-dyed and textured yarns. Super-soft bamboo and tencel blend knits feel great against your skin, and in some thicker gauges this season will surely keep you cozy warm next Fall. Designer to watch out for: Peter Pilotto

Peter Pilotto, the new name in th fasion industry that has caught the attention of some o the biggest fashionistas including Jessica Alba and The First Lady Ms Michelle Obama, is surely a brand to watch out for. Their collection embraces both new and classic perspectives on elegance.

There are two individuals and four cultures behind the Peter Pilotto collection. Peter Pilotto is half Austrian, half Italian and his partner Christopher De Vos is half Belgian, half Peruvian. The former is the textile expert while De Vos concentrates on the silhouette and draping. The result is a collection that embodies otherwordly prints combined with soft sculptural shapes. The team describes their design process as being very organic and their fascination with a scientific view of nature is reflected in the stunning hyper real prints found in the collection.
