cracked skin

No one likes to have a red bumpy acne filled face, and yet it seems to be a part of real life sometimes. However, acne is not just a teenage problem but is also an adult skin condition. While there is no definitive cause has been found for the cause of acne there are contributing factors. Let's take a look at those:

  • Sebum oil is an oil that naturally moisturizes the skin, but can cause acne. While this oil has the purpose of naturally moisturizing the skin and cleansing dead skin cells, if it is trapped under the skin, pimples form. When this oil gets trapped the body produces more oil to help moisturize the skin and clear dead skin cells, and this leads to overly oily skin and more acne. So, in short, acne is caused by over clogging of the ducts that lead from the glands, and from the overproduction of this oil.
