dress dezaning

A batch of interesting iPad sleeves, cases, and accessories is coming our way, but the Dutch currently hold the bragging rights with one of the most original protective sleeves for Apple’s tablet seen to date.

Remember the iPod socks? Most folks are unaware of the fact that Apple carries a range of real socks in six vibrant colors billed as a “stylish, fun, and practical” way to protect your iPod.

Taking the gadget socks to the next level, a Netherlands-based case maker has unveiled a similar wardrobe accessory for Apple’s shiny multitouch computer. Simply dubbed the iPad sock, this knit, square-bottomed sleeve is tailor-made for the iPad’s dimensions.

Besides looking utterly cool, the slim-fit sock protects your device from dust, dirt, and scratches when not in use. Big Foot-types may even be tempted to put a pair of these on their feet.

The iPad socks are available in nine color flavors, including orange, blue, green, pink, purple, and two-color corporate designs like black-red, black-white, and white-black.

The socks will set you back half Apple’s asking price – $15 a piece versus $30 each for Apple’s iPod sock – even though iPad socks are several times bigger than their tiny iPod counterparts. On top of that, the company is treating customers with free shipping anywhere in the world. Enjoy a few included images or head over to the official website to learn more about the iPad sock.
